Trailside Subdivision
Fortified Homes in Central Illinois
Fortified home standards increases the resistance to natural disasters’ affects on homes from the ground up. In our geographic area, natural conditions such as high winds, flood, hail and even earthquakes are likely to occur. The standards of fortified homes are superior because the homes are built with added protection to windows and doors, improved connections between the roof, walls and foundation.
The homes of Trailside Subdivision are built for the Safe Conscious owner. To obtain the “Fortified” designation, an application had to be submitted to the Institute for Business & Home Safety for review and approval. A plan reviewer oversees the design and produces a design and construction check list. A series of inspections are conducted through out the process pertaining to the foundation, roof deck sheathing, pre-drywall and framing, and a final checking as well.
